Jane Peebles was invited to speak at the Western Regional Planned Giving Conference on May 29, 2014. Her lecture entitled, “International Grant Making And Fundraising,” examines applicable tax rules for U.S. residents, resident aliens, and non-resident aliens engaging in gifts to foreign charities, while accounting for treaty exceptions and other special circumstances. She concludes by attaching relevant materials to conceptualize her argument including a sample Affidavit for Equivalency Determination, recent Anti-Terrorist Financing Guidelines, and comprehensive comparison charts.
